Hey folks, Harry here... A year ago my little sister... SISTER SATAN and her husband, LOBO of Latin-AICN fame - stepped away from AICN's daily work to help change Austin for the better by opening a store called PEDAZO CHUNK (2101 South First Street). It was their geek dream to open a video store that was weird in their own particular way...

From the day they opened to now their number of titles have grown tremendously in both numbers as well as types. They are not necessarily there to serve the tastes of the mass market film goer, but they have created a nice alternative niche in the Video / Dvd Rental arena here in Austin. They've been sponsoring free movie give-aways and have been pushing titles that ordinarily get no-shelf treatment in the big ol mean chains.

I have to say, I'm immensely proud of what Sister Satan and Lobo have done there... They have the most extensive DVD rental title selection I've seen in any store in Austin. Heavily influenced by cult, foriegn and cool as all hell titles that you might not have even known existed on DVD or Video. They''ve been contacting distributors overseas directly to get the titles as soon as they are available. Father Geek and I have been using our knowledge to help make sure they are ahead of the trend, getting the coolest titles nobody has ever heard of. The stuff that slips below most store's radar.

The problem with this growth is they've begun to run out of space, and to keep the stock fresh and up to date and also to celebrate their ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY, all through the month of JUNE they'll be running all sorts of specials that ya wouldn't even believe! Including selling some overstock at I CAN'T BELIEVE IT deals.

Like a certain piece of junk, it may not look like much from the outside, but it has it where it counts... ya know? YOU MUST SEE THEIR ASIAN DVD SELECTION TO BELIEVE IT! From Japan to Hong Kong to Korea and Thailand, they've got titles you have never heard of that not only don't suck, but kick fucking ass! Eclectic as all hell!
