Jennifer Garner will not play Sydney Bristow’s traitorous mom on “Alias”!
According to Monday's Variety, Irina Derevko aka Laura Bristow aka “The Man” will be played in 16 “Alias” episodes next season by hot 46-year-old 5'10" Swede Lena Olin (“Unbearable Lightness of Being,” “Mystery Men,” “Chocolate,” “Queen of the Damned”).
Of course we should have known this, since months ago we saw a sketch by 15th century seer Milo Rambaldi depicting Syd’s mom. Or did we? Thing is: Ramdaldi’s sketch looked a lot more like Garner than Olin.
Olin's dad acted in Bergman's "The Seventh Seal." She is no relation to Chicago-born "Alias" actor-producer-director Ken Olin.
