Hey folks, Harry here... seems that the earlier report was based upon excitement from the meeting that P.A. had, but not on reality. Yippee! Hopefully this new executive at Fox has no brain damage and can see that Paul Anderson is about as right for this project as Nick Cage was for SUPERMAN or Freddie Prinze Jr was for SCOOBY DOO. In the history of bad ideas, this would be a doozy, but thankfully all seems to be good right now. We'll continue to watch this one hard...
Yes, this is alive again because there's a new executive on the project at Fox.
Paul Anderson is in the running. Which sucks. But I think your informant at Davis is getting a little prematurely excited. Because an exec tells a producer he loved the pitch that producer brought to him, that doesn't make it so. This is an industry built on lies, remember...
And besides, this exec has had THREE MEETINGS on this project since it was given to him two weeks ago. So Paul Anderson is the front contender out of three nobodies. And the only script they have is from 1991, which will be thrown out completely.
So don't worry. This project is alive. But it's a ways away from production. And Paul Anderson is a LONG way from being signed as P.A., let alone director.
Though wonders have yet to cease, so who knows.
