Corrections, Clarifying and Enhancing stories on Jim Carrey and the Zuckers, ID4-2/Fantastic Voyage, Michael Mann's involvement

Well let's take a look at some of the rumors that appeared on the site this week. I like to keep y'all as up to date as possible on this stuff, so here ya go...

First, Jim Carrey is not involved with the Zucker flick IMAGINING NATHAN. However, my spies are looking into Jodie's involvement. I knew that sentence about Jim Carrey, Jodie Foster and the Zuckers couldn't possibly be right. Jim's very busy with THE INCREDIBLE MR LIMPET and then the Andy Kauffman Biopic.

Second the ID4-2/Fantastic Voyage combination flick that a spy was alleging to be in the works with Emmerich and Devlin attached. *BUZZER SOUND* Wrong. Most of the bridges between those two and Fox were burned, and the projects they are working on are THE MARK with Will Smith over at Universal. And then several projects at SONY. Among these I would assume (that word generally means I'll make an ASS out of U and ME) this includes the alleged Sony BOND flick, Godzilla 2 and the other projects that we've mentioned in the past.

Now as for Michael Mann and DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS, as I thought, this is also WRONGO. The facts are as follows:

Just wanted to let you know that the Michael Mann rumor about him directing D&D, or even being involved for that matter, is wrong. I don't know what Lisa Gerrard's label is thinking or talking about, but neither she or Mann are involved.

Yes the project is being worked on. The draft you read (did it have dragons fighting over a large battle, and did it have a large floating warship?), which I've read, has been completely overhauled. The new story is much more focused and actually pays attention to character development. Not so much an eye candy piece.

The project is being produced by Sweetpea Entertainment, with Courtney Solomon producing as well as directing. Also producing is Kia Jam, of Grand Designs Entertainment, and Joel Silver is the Exec. Producer. Universal is doing some of the foreign distribution, but no domestic has been settled yet.

Also I've been told that Wizards/TSR are not cooperating fully with Sweetpea Entertainment, and that some arguing is going on there. More details later...

Then we have the details from that last STAR WARS EPISODE ONE bit from the fella that claims to have seen a roughcut. Well, he may have pieced the report together from all over the place, but... I'm gonna talk about this after a ton of Spoiler room. If you don't want spoilers hit your back button now!!!

I have received multiple confirmations from ILM, a merchandising partner and one Lucasfilm source that all say them little farts are in the flick. That midiclorians or whatever the hell they are called are in the film, HOWEVER, they are not THE FORCE. THE FORCE is still a mysterious thing that binds the universe, etc etc etc.. These little suckers are merely like conduits that focus and specialize in THE FORCE. So if you have these suckers in ya, you're more likely to be strong in the force. I guess kinda like them DNA tests that say if you are more likely to have high blood pressure or not. Of course I assume (there's that word again) that these little things aren't dwelled on, because these people tended to make it seem like it wasn't that big a deal. Also they all confirmed the 'virgin birth' bit, noone commented on the astro mechs in the Pod Race, and then they confirmed the Palpatine bit. All the people and sources were very up beat, but none of them wanted their comments reproduced verbatim, so that's why I'm here putting it in my own incompetent words. Virgin births are very much a part of the whole mythology bit. It's kinda like Zeus coming down and impregnating a chick to give birth to Perseus.

Stay calm everyone, the force isn't explained away, while this midiclorian bs is very Star Trekkie, it's not the fatal blow it could have been had these mc's (my abbreviation due to being lazy) been THE FORCE. I hope this clarifies and calms. So there ya go.
