Hahahaha... The Zucker Brothers directing Jim Carrey and Jodie Foster in a serious drama entitled IMAGINING NATHAN... Try saying that with a straight face. The creators of Naked Gun and Airplane bring you an amazingly touching film about giving up everything that you are for someone you love. Wow. If true, this would be amazing, and by the way, I do believe it's true, I have a couple of confirmations on this, but they wouldn't elaborate, so do what you will... strange things are happening as the next thousand years approaches... Zuckers...Drama...Foster&Carrey.... amazing...
Hello from the diving board in the steno pool. I agree with you 100% about THE GREEN MILE winning the Oscar in 2000. The script was amazing and the casting looks incredible. But there's one movie which I just read this weekend that could edge it out. The Zucker brothers are producing a drama (!) called IMAGINING NATHAN. (Have you read this?) The story is about a grown man afflicted with a rare disease, trapped in a fantasy world (which only he can see) and his rocky relationship with his cool-hearted sister (who wants him to have a life-altering operation). The action goes back and forth from reality to incredible scenes of animation (which I don't know how they are going to do as it doesn't read like anything I've seen before). The ending breaks your heart. He has the operation to be with his sister. (I cried). If the rumors I hear are true about Jim Carrey and Jodie Foster as brother and sister (wow!!!) this could be special. Jim Carrey would be perfect for this after TRUMAN SHOW and Jodie Foster would be amazing. The L.A. Times said Universal is aiming this film for Christmas 1999.
