Hey folks, Harry here... My utter disgust and dissatisfaction with the weak ass slasher flick known as genius in some dank roach motels of filmdon.... That's right, I don't like AMERICAN PSYCHO, I've given it a couple of chances, but I still feel it had one character that had 15 minutes of material spread out over an eternity, so instantly a movie based on 15 minutes of material obviously needs a sequel... ahem.... Here's the info on that...
I don't know if this is news or even if anybody cares, but I have never seen it mentioned on AICN so I figured there is a slight chance that nobody is following this yet. I know Rules of Attraction has been mentioned, and it is another adaptation of a Brett Ellis Easton book that features a story about American Psycho's Patrick Bateman's younger brother. But the thing I haven't heard any news on is that there is pre-production at Lions Gate for American Psycho 2 featuring....oh man, William Shatner. Here's the synopsis directly from LG:
Patrick Bateman is dead. However, his evil continues on in the body of a college student who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Rachael Newman, the only victim to ever escape Patrick Bateman alive, has inherited his thirst to "fit in." But the rigors of surviving your college life can be challenging to a young beautiful co-ed like Rachael. In a world where might does not always make right, and sex can kill, you will find the new American Psycho.
Looks like sequel hell to me. American Psycho Goes to College? The only horror movie to ever make a successful jump to the college rank was the hit film Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go to College.
So either you knew all this, or you are wondering what brought me to this information. I was trying to find news on a Leprechaun 6 from trimark, and trimark apparently was bought by Lions Gate. Hopefully this email was worth it...I doubt it though.
Keep up the good work,
Kevin Van Natter
