Hey folks, Harry here... In 2000 there was a wonderful film that very few of you out there had a chance to see. Heck I only got to catch it on video as I don't recall it ever playing a theater in Austin, and we tend to get just about everything. That film was called GEORGE WASHINGTON, now he's working on a project called ALL THE REAL GIRLS apparently for Sony Pictures Classics, so we all should get to see it. Here's the latest from a talk David Gordon Green recently gave at Notre Dame...
Harry,
I'm a student at the University of Notre Dame and had the opportunity to hear David Gordon Green, the writer/director of one of 2000's best films George Washington, speak tonight. He had a few brief words about his current project All the Real Girls. The film is being released this fall by Sony Pictures Classics and is "another weird film; a romance filmed up in the mountains." Green also stated that he'll be using most of the same crew from George Washington. He went on to explain that, as with George Washington, he wanted the film to have a nondescript setting, etc., and even went as far as to give none of the main characters names. He wanted it to be "like you were just observing events." However, he did say that he is currently retooling the film, because he realized that critics were having a hard time writing about the movie due to the lack of the characters having names. Paul Shneider (Rico from George Washington) and Zooey Deschanel (Almost Famous and Big Trouble) are set to star.
