First it was Scooby Doo... now it is UNDERDOG!

Hey folks, Harry here... I've recently heard from my spy, Van Damned... who let it slip that Lawrence Guterman, the man behind last year's hit family effects flick, CATS & DOGS has buddy buddied up to the folks that have the rights to the UNDERDOG movie and has attached himself to be the helmer of this powerful epic for our times. UNDERDOG the movie. Is this really necessary? Do we want this?

I could imagine a Blue Falcon and Dynomutt film before I could see this... Or a George Clooney SPACE GHOST flick... Or a Freddie Prinze Jr and Yasmin Bleeth WONDER TWINS flick. UNDERDOG seems like such a pure animation... animation film. Not only that, but strictly a television one to boot.

Will they keep all the dialogue in pentameter? Will Tap Tap the Chiseler be as cool in live action? What about Yakety Yak? Now don't talk back just yet! Would they make Polly Purebread the upright bitch that she is? Besides, wasn't HONG KONG PHOOEY about 10000000000 times cooler from the get go? I don't know... somehow I just don't need to really see this movie come about. What about you?
