Just saw a cut for this piece of garbage. It does nothing but glorify high school murder as two pretty boy blondes get the girls and battle Sandy B. Sandy is the blue collar detective who of course wears $5000 black leather. The original script was written for an American Director to try and make a strong statement as to how affluent young Americans with seemingly everything snap. ALA Columbine. Castle Rock and WB should have taken notice when ALL American directors collectively agreed that high school murder is not entertainment in this country. So they gave it to Barbed Schroeder and Sandy Bullock. The script was rewritten for the Sandy Bullock break out action role black leather gun toting 'hero.' Murder By Numbers could not have missed bigger. Americans turn on the news to watch the horrifying high school violence every other week. I doubt people think this is entertainment and that they will pay $10 to watch this terrible irresponsible film. Oh by the way, the whole murder by numbers marketing campaign is a lie to try to draw the 'Seven" crowd. The movie itself makes no reference to the numbers scheme, it is just on the poster.
