Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.

Hmmm... martial arts. Magic powers. Tsui Hark. I can't imagine WHY I might be interested in anything like that. Or you. Hey... is that Zhang Ziyi I just saw there? Oh, well, that settles it. How could anyone watch this? Don't even bother following this link:

HERE'S THIS REALLY COOL TRAILER FOR ZU WARRIORS THAT I'M SURE YOU WOULDN'T POSSIBLY BE INTERESTED IN!!

Oh, wait. That was awesome. Shit, I guess you should check it out.

The one thing I wish with all my heart and soul is that Miramax would stop buying HK films. Their treatment of these movies borders on the immoral. Bob and Harvey should be ashamed of themselves for the way they stockpile these movies and keep them out of release. They trickle them out, buying more than they ever plan to release, just so no one else has a chance to compete with them and possibly kick their ass by doing the job right, a la Sony Classics and CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON.

Anyway... I enjoyed it. I know reviews on the film itself have been deeply mixed, but you can't deny how beautiful it looks. Thanks to the thirty or so readers who all e-mailed me about this tonight. I can understand your enthusiasm.
