been to Rotterdam last week and Boy not only was the Master himself there to introduce his 4 Films: VISITOR Q, ICHI-THE KILLER, THE HAPPINESS OF THE KATAKURIS and AGITATOR all by himself, he also gave the news what´s up with his next projects.
I have asked him if this rumor that he will next direct another ZATOICHI-Film was actually true. He said 3 months ago they had everthing ready and Takeshi Kitano (!!!) was cast in the lead role but right know everything is on hold because there a differences with the producers about the new direction this series will go, but he is still looking forward to do it, because he´s a big fan of the series and obviosly Kitano would be great in this role. So let´s wait and see. On the other hand since AGITATOR he allready directed 3 new pictures which he is now cutting togheter simultanesly. Unfortunately he didn´t say anything more about them.
