Well, here's a scoop about what Sam Raimi's been up to recently. But Raimi has apparently been signed to direct Costner in the Baseball flick FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME. Can you imagine what Raimi would do with a sport like baseball. The sliding camera, the curveball camera, the bunt camera... Ahhh... Well it's good to see Costner putting himself into other director's hands, I just hope he let's Raimi direct the film. If anyone has any scoop on this project, let me know...
whell harry i just had the pleasure of working with one of the horror genre's most gifted and wacky directors, mr. sam raimi on of all things an absolut vodka commercial! this spot has talent oozing out it's pores...the d.p. was none other than dean cundey, the man who shot jurassic park, john saxon, & the pyrotechnician who gave stargate all it's bang, wayne beauchamp....the premise of the spot is one of the el mariachi variety, i kid you not! it even comes complete with a banderas lookalike, a sex scene, explosions, and other surprises. as far as i know, it's only to be shown in europe but the rumor on the set was that it might appear in the u.s. later on this year...
also to comment on the news you ran about practical demonkeeping and raimi's involvement with this project is that raimi stated when i spoke with him about it is that he is no longer developing it....the thing he is currently involved in is the final editing phase on his version of a simple plan, which he said he believes the studio is going to try to make him butcher some of the elements that make it cohesive and more time friendly, fucking paramount!
