New ATTACK OF THE CLONES Documentary Online!!

Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.

I gotta say, I'm REEEEEEALLLY looking forward to this movie. I want it to be great. I think I've reached the saturation point for spoilers. I know basically the whole film now, and there's nothing there that I dislike yet. At all. I think it sounds like a confident, exciting chapter in the saga, and I'm looking forward to certain sequences in particular.

One of those is the fight sequence on the landing platform on Kamino that takes place between Jango Fett and Obi-Wan. We've seen little bits of that fight in the trailers so far (most notably in the MYSTERY trailer), and it looks kinetic and memorable. The storyboards for the scene are amazing, as any hardcore spoiler addicts no doubt remember from last year.

The new documentary over at The Official Site is my favorite so far. Called "Bucket Head," it's a look at both Jango Fett, played by Temeura Morrison, and Boba Fett, played by Daniel Logan. It doesn't give away all the secrets of how they're related, but it does do a nice job of setting up the importance of their role in this film.

2002 looks like a year for geeks to roll around in, and part of that anticipation for me is certainly ATTACK OF THE CLONES. It's only getting worse as I wait for the next trailer in March (rumored to be on the front of ICE AGE according to TheForce.net) and the film itself in May. Footage like this from the Official Site has been a really pleasant treat this time around, and I'd certainly say Lucas has been working hard to keep new and interesting bits and pieces in the public eye throughout the process.

"Moriarty" out.

Harry here... HOLY SHEEEEE-IIIIIITTT!!! That is so freaking supercool! Ya know folks, whatever Episode 2 might end up being, I fricking love this period before the films. I was at the theater that I saw PHANTOM MENACE tonight and the manager that did such a sterling job with the line last time out... intimated to me that it looked possible that THE METROPOLITAN might not get ATTACK OF THE CLONES and that it may end up across the highway in that mis-managed scrap heap of a theater known as the TINSELTOWN SOUTH. This would be a crime beyond words. The METROPOLITAN has the largest screens and the best sound in Austin. To shun that theater for that theater across the street where I have had NUMEROUS BAD FILM EXHIBITING EXPERIENCES... ARGH!!! But, when I see a behind the scenes Documentary like that one above... It just makes me angrier that the best theater presentation in Austin might not get a film that is supposed to be about great exhibition. Well, there's a chance they may get it, but they told me it wasn't looking good. BUMMER...
