A Bond 20 Focus Group and What was said and Discussed!!!

Harry here, I thought it a bit odd the other day at the BOND 20 press conference that we see the director, the stars, but that they didn't announce the title. I found this very odd. Very very odd. Well, it seems that they are still trying to figure that out. Seems like they are trying to figure all sorts of things out. So without further ado, here's what is going on...

What's up H-Man!!!

Just got back from a focus group in Marina Del Rey in which they asked us what we liked about the Bond films, what would make us see them, namely the new one coming out.

They asked us about how much we knew about the upcoming picture, then bounced possible titles off of us that we liked and disliked. They gave us four -- however, I only remember three of them (but it's no big deal, because the third one was the best of the four, and the fourth was as mediocre and lame as the first two).

They were:

IF LOOKS COULD KILL

DOUBLE CROSS

BLACK SUN

and some other one I forgot.

BLACK SUN was the group of 10's favorite, and they all agreed the other 3 were lame, B movie sounding, and one girl mentioned IF LOOKS COULD KILL was the name of a lame-ass Richard Grieco direct to vid loser.

We also saw 7 possible teaser campaigns. Most of them involved shots of ice, or cold. There was one very cool one of a martini glass with a bullet inside the drink and it looked a lot like the Absolut Vodka ads.

The BEST ONE was of a gun and silencer resting on a block of ice, the muzzle pointed at the viewer, smoke rising from it with Brosnan in the smoke...I'm not even close to describing how unbelievably cool this was.

Anyway....that's the deal. One of these could be the title, none of them could be the title. But one thing is for sure, ice is a big part of the film as seen in the campaigns they're thinking of running, and what with Pinewood having a massive ice palace built for the shooting of the film, it makes sense.

That's all from the Left Coast.

Till next time,

Auric Goldfinger
