Fresh LORD OF THE RINGS: FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING TalkBack

Harry here. Ok, Lord of the Rings is doing tremendous thus far. On IMDB.Com the film has become the #1 film of all time. Beating out everything else. Personally, I say that we see where it is at in 10 years after the excitement of the moment has died down a bit. Will the film build stronger? Having seen it 3 times now, it has for me. (More on that in an upcoming piece) Out of 92 reviews on RottenTomatoes.com only 4 are negative. And the film is 100% Golden in the top critics of the country's point of view. And the film is performing stellarly for a 3 hour film at the box office, of course the truth there will be in the 4th week.
However, looking at what is happening critically and popularly... Looking at IMDB and ROTTEN TOMATOES has a combination that is nothing short of amazing. Whether or not you agree with FOTR being a great film is besides the point. Right now, there is an incredible combination of 'regular folks' and 'critics' agreeing that this is a great movie. The best combination you can have is Audience word of mouth AND critical word of mouth.
