I am DaMeSSiah , and since I live in a small texas town called Fred where I have to drive 150 miles well more like 38 to see a movie at a nice theater and theres no movie news comming from my area , or not that I know of anyway , ya never know what the man could be doing I dont have any news to report myself but i did find an interesting the following at GameInformer.com and I though you would find it interesting . I dont know if you have ever player Resident Evil but if you have you would have noticed that it could be a very good movie this article mentions that none other than Mr Bruce Campbell may have a part in the movie . The though of him in Resident Evil brings back beautiful err gory memories of Evil Dead 2

Tomb Raider and Resident Evil are presently being made into movies. Although we could think up a killer script for RE, writing for TR sounds a bit difficult; lets just hope TR doesn't result in another MK or MKII.

Unfortunately though, TR is already following in MK's foot steps. Paramount has assigned Brent Freidman, the script writer for MKII, to write for the TR Movie. However, the story actually sounds decent - like a hybrid of Jurassic Park and Rupan III: The Gold of Babylon. Lara Croft is a danger-seeking miser. She travels throughout the world, searching for crypts and long forgotten empires. Everything from icy ruins in the Arctic Circle to ruins in South America, where nominally-extinct creatures roam. While the plot is still vague, if Eidos and Paramount follow the example of the almighty Monkey Punch - Rupan's creator -, this flick could have potential. Furthermore, Lawrence Gordon and Lloyd Levin, who produced Boogie Nights, Predator, and Die Hard, will produce the TR movie.

By now you must be wondering who Eidos has chosen to play Lara; keep in mind that the following list is just a rumor though: Elizabeth Hurley, Diane Lane, Sandra Bullock, and Anna Nicole Smith. GI would like to see Elizabeth Hurley obtain the role, but hopes that Paramount will use the powers of modern technology, and/or surgery, to exaggerate her features. Paramount could also use Anna Nicole Smith's body, and paste Hurley's head on top! Anyway, the people working on the movie will surely devise something representative of the virtual sex symbol.

Although TR will probably result in a PG-13 wannabe porno, we think that RE has more potential. The basic premise sounds interesting enough; a small biological company named, Umbrella, has been conducting strange experiments in a mansion outside of Raccoon City. Apparently, rumors indicate that a series of gruesome murders have taken place at the mansion. S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) has been sent in to investigate. Although the S.T.A.R.S. unit expects the worst, they are nevertheless surprised to discover hideous creatures craving for human flesh.

Rumors for possible actors to star as Chris Redfield include Bruce Campbell (Groovy!) and Jason Patric; as for Jill Valentine, the name Samantha Mathis has been mentioned. Alan McElroy (responsible for Spawn) will write the screenplay, George Sluizer (Vanishing) will direct, and Berd Eichenger will produce the movie under Constantin Films; if you remember, the company also produced the Fantastic Four. With decent developers, cool actors, and a $25 million dollar budget, RE could turn out good.

However, if Capcom and Constantin films wants to make sure RE is a hit, they must follow two requirements; first, the movie has to be rated 'R,' and second, George Romero must write, and direct the movie. Could you imagine Romero returning to his zombie days of the past, and revitalizing the genre; oh, what a glorious day that would be. However, since America concerns itself with only money, developers and producers will probably sacrifice quality for capital. Although the press release we just received sounds all right, no one has Romero's magic.
