More Of Those FELLOWSHIP OF THE RINGS Pictures!

Harry here, I think I've finished pulling images off of Disk 1 of the FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING Digital Press Kit, I just... As I'm resizing, reformatting and playing with all these files, I'm playing Howard Shore's score and reading TalkBacks and Reviews and checking TheOneRing.Net over and over again to see the latest on their end, reading my mail, going to chat rooms... I just can't stop thinking about it.

My little geek brain is just in loop. I'm having trouble caring about any other film projects at the moment. They all seem so trivial for me, til I see this thing. I'll try to continue to update on the other films, but my heart just isn't into it. I would rather play that last commercial over and over again. I'd rather just stare at my emails, where folks all over the world seem to be writing without breathing... all holding their breaths till they see it. With each of these reviews that come in... I'm getting more and more excited.

Back around the end of November, Nick over at CHUD ran a great Interview with Guillermo Del Toro, where they talked about many things... From his films, to his fetishes, to movies he's recently loved. In and amongst that he mentions how much he loves UNBREAKABLE. Here's the quote:

"I loved it. I fucking loved it. The people who didn't like it didn't want to like it because of The Sixth Sense. They wanted to so backlash at this guy. It's a fuckin' masterpiece man. It's a story of a child who looks up to his father and thinks he's Superman. It's so gorgeous. When it started I was not getting into it because it was shot from the perspective of Bruce Willis, but the moment the kid came into the equation, I was like Yeah! It was a great movie. I don't like the very end, but who the hell am I to talk about anybody else's work…if it's good. You know? It's like: I like the Mona Lisa, but does the bitch have to smile?"

Almost all of the reviews we've seen, if not all the reviews we've seen for FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING, seem to read like love sonnets. Expressing an undying love and appreciation for the material. But somewhere in the review is a "I like the MONA LISA, but does the bitch have to smile?" nitpick. I read one talk backer that drew the parallel to a Persian Rug of near perfection, save for one or two mis-stitches, which the artist did as to not attain perfection, for that is not the place of mortals. Heh...

Reviewers... Both Fan and Professional Critics are referencing names like David Lean and Akira Kurosawa. I'm beginning to geek out way too much here. But doesn't it feel great? That uncertainty... that feeling we all have right now. Is it, can it, will it be that and a double spoon full of sugar? All I can say is, I hope. I sincerely hope. Now excuse me, I must continue with the Howard Shore music... and try to go to sleep. Tomorrow I'll attempt to get the final press CD the look over and get up what is there of interest. Ta Ta Fer Now... -- Harry
