Hey folks, Harry here with some Adam Sandler flick called EIGHT CRAZY NIGHTS... I'm not a fan of Sandler's comedies... they just haven't played for me thus far... I have many friends that love him, but watching him in these films of his I just wished that he had a director to push him. Instead, I've seen scenes that were funny, but None of his films played well for me at all. Here's our first look at this EXTREMELY ADVANCE SCREENING for a film
Hey Harry,
First off I'd like to go by Popmart, but anyways I go to Columbia College Chicago, and today in front of one of the buildings there was a guy handing out invitations to a test screening of Adam Sandler's new movie Eight Crazy Nights. So I might check it out. it showed at the Gene Siskel Film Center and when i entered Allen Covert, the limo driver in wedding singer, gay guy in big daddy, roommate in little nicky, etc. greeted us. He told us that it is the first fully animated film from Happy Madison's new animation production company Meatball, named after Sandler's dog. So I get myself comfortable and the guy gets up again and says the same stuff and that the movie is going to be out November of 2002, and will most likely be PG-13. He also said that only 60% of the scenes during the test screening would be color and that Adam would be doing a new version of the Hanukkah song for it but it isn't in the film yet.
Ok now for the review. This movie is quite random to tell you the truth, and each song starts out as some sweet sappy song that you are thinking holy shit even this movie has songs like this? but then they turn hilarious, with once again random lines in it. If anyone has heard of any of Adam Sandler's last CD Stan and Judy's Kid, then they would know of the character Whitey in there. He is the short guy with the club foot and referees basketball plus spends a lot of time in the mall. Well he is in this movie, saving a man named Davey Stone (also voiced by Sandler, and who looks just like Sandler too) from going to jail by being the assistant referee during the holidays, this turns out worse then Davie imagines, and they both wonder if jail could have been better. So yea don't want to give any jokes away or anything, but the animation seemed pretty good, though its not fully done, like i said before the songs are real funny for the most part, but near the end they run out of jokes for them so they just act dumb. Of course there is the love interest in here voiced by Tyra Banks, and the other voice actors are Rob Schneider, Jon Lovitz, and Kevin Nealon. Out of 5 stars I'd give it 3 stars, but i will wait for the final project, and lets just say its worth it for Whitey's spasms, and his robot dance. Sorry this is a crappy review but it was written real quick. So enjoy, and Talk Backers, go ahead and wreak havoc like you always do, and remember nobody gives a rat's ass about who is first!
Peace
Love
Lemons,
