Harry here... could this be what Minghella was talking about?
Harry-
Not sure if anybody already said this but....In reference to the Anthony Minghella/Tom Cruise story up on the site: I believe the director was referring to the remake of Charles Frazier's book 'Cold Mountain', which is the story of a Civil War soldier who walks home to North Carolina during the war. I've heard that it alludes to 'The Odyssey' in many ways and I also heard that Tom Cruise was considering it. I love the site.

Hey folks, Harry here with a fairly interesting development. Will this be an accurate adaptation or will it be a strange modernization of THE ODYSSEY like the Coen Brothers' wonderful OH BROTHER WHERE ART THOU? Making a classic telling of it would be fantastic. This bares more investigation eh?
Hey Harry, how goes it.
I heard a snippet of info that could shed light on what Tom Cruise will be doing in the future.
Last night I was at the annual Oscar Moore Screenwriting Prize ceremony in London's Leicester Square and who happened to be in attendance?? Er.....not Tom Cruise if that's what your thinking.
English Patient director Anthony Minghella was there and said he was currently working on a new version of Homer's Odyssey. "It's about a long walk home," he said, adding that Tom Cruise had expressed interest in starring in the film but nothing had been finalised yet.
