Salma Hayek is the latest actress to be considered for a role in the
forthcoming James Bond film. Although a number of starlets of varying
quality; including Anna Kournikova and Kelly Brook have
suggested that they would like to get up close to the suave superspy,
Hayek's claim is a little more solid. The film is being directed by Lee
Tamahori, who Hayek is keen to work with. 'He made one of my very favourite
films, Once Were Warriors,' explained the actress. It has been rumoured that
part of the film will be set in Spain; Hayek clearly has the looks and
accent to play a saucy senorita. Meanwhile, Fish from 1980s prog-rock band
Marillion has also auditioned for a role. He has revealed that if he gets
it, he will film for three months, suggesting that he is being considered
for a major part.
