Hey folks, Harry here... Today we found out that FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING is two hours and fifty-eight minutes short. What a joy! Also, how cool is England to give the film a PG, when the U.S. gave it a PG-13. I figure that the British censors figured that it was 'LORD OF THE RINGS' - that's for everyone, whereas our American prigs at the MPAA just couldn't stand to let a story that children and adults have both been reading for the last half century... Well, also today, Soundtrack.Net, the folks that gave us the first look and listen to this remarkable soundtrack, have a wonderful interview with Mr Shore about the score... don't miss that!!!

SoundtrackNet continues our coverage of LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING by bringing you an interview with composer Howard Shore. Howard talks about the challenges he faced in scoring this epic film, as well as how he managed to squeeze 150 minutes of music down to one CD!

Also, we have a new contest on our site, where you can win either a LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING soundtrack, or a HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE soundtrack.
