Harry here... with great great great great news! THE SIRENS OF TITAN, a just fantastic Kurt Vonnegut novel, is going to get the film treatment by the same guy that was responsible for the fantastic Vonnegut adaptation... MOTHER NIGHT, a film that was grossly unappreciated and noticed when it was released. But ya see, it didn't have what the kids call color in it, so it couldn't be good... sigh... ugh.... steam.... argh.... However, THE SIRENS OF TITAN just calls for gorgeous color. Frankly, this just makes me smile real real big. Hope you feel the same. Hehehe, who would you get to play Rumfoord? I say John Malkovich... what about you?
This morning, on KPCC FM (Los Angeles), Robert B. Weide (Mother Night) announced that he's going to write a film based on THE SIRENS OF TITAN, Kurt Vonnegut's best novel. Now, as a Vonnegut geek, I should be happy with this, but I'm not. As an aspiring writing, my biggest dream project has just been snatched away from me. Damn Hollywood. Oh, and if you use this, call me Malachi Constant. Oh, and I heard that Winston Niles Rumfoord has a beer and cheats on Beatrice Rumfoord. Signed, Malachi Constant
