Hey folks, Harry here... Nuanda just emailed me saying that The French had the new theatrical trailer for BLACKHAWK DOWN available for download. You get to hear a bit of Eric Bana and Ewan MacGregor's wonderful American Accents. You see a bit of Sam Shepard and Tom Sizemore's performances. You totally get a sense of the look of the film from Ridley Scott (who, if this hits and works as planned for him, he'll have the best 2 film director year since JURASSIC PARK and SCHINDLER'S LIST) and to have that year follow GLADIATOR.... Damn man! The boy is kicking some serious ass! I'm fascinated by this film. Very curious to see what his and Bruckheimer's take is on this story. It is one that didn't need to be treated with a jingoistic rah rah for our guys motif... The situation in Somalia was extremely screwed up. It was extremely complicated. And this particular battle was one of the most intense in Modern American Combat History.
I sincerely hope they took the high road approach to this, and from the look of it, they might have. We'll have to see! But damn, it is Ridley Scott and the man is on a great friggin roll right now!
