This was only a couple of minutes, just enough to give you a taste of the film's visual style and scale. It came across a lot like the better computer animation stuff you see at SIGGRAPH, but Disney-style -- detailed CG creatures, sweeping camera moves, majestic vistas of dinosaur life. Not like Toy Story at all, or even A Bug's Life, but much more like Jurrasic Park or Lost World. The live-action backgrounds help give it a look and feel all it's own. The only problem was that it was hard to get a sense for the characters or the story, due to the clip's short length.
Some shots that impressed -- tracking along with a pterodactyl as it cruises the treetops, a dinosaur diving from a cliff and on down into a lake, a close-up of a dragonfly as a dinosaur closes in from behind, close up on a herd of stegasaurus running and fighting, and an asteroid as it falls in the distance and impacts at the horizon.
Overall it was vivid, colorful stuff.
At the end of the session they snuck in a clip from Tarzan...
