Kevin Smith talks of FLETCH WON, JERSEY GIRL and ANIMATED CLERKS THE MOVIE!

Hey folks, Harry here with a fella that told Kevin Smith that he'd kick his ass in Bloomington, Indiana the other night. Seems that the folks in Indiana are a bit odd... One offering to beat him, another offering to suck him... Meanwhile there was tidbits to gather, here ya go...

harry....

i attend indiana university here in (bloomington)bumfuck, indiana. and tonight kevin smith graced our campus with a q&a that lasted for nearly 4 hours. while most of it involved stories of the catholic league, how prince is a fucking looney (which got me and kevin into a war of words), a phone call from jason mewes, and a guy offering to give head to kevin for $5, mr. smith did reveal several things of interest to the nearly 3200 in attendence. The first is the widely publicized fletch film which he revealed he would be workin on after "Jersey Girl" (which he also said he would start shooting in june, not march because the star of the film has decided to "wear red tights for a film" and that delayed the production of "Jersey"). the fletch film will be based of the "Fletch won" book which was the 6th book in the series. Jason Lee is his definte choice, as previously reported, and the "won" story will be an origin story so Lee will be perfect. But the most eventful story of the night was kevin smith talking about his writting a animated clerks film. harvey weinstein after seeing the success of the dvd, wanted kevin to make a film out of the animated series. the night was a long one, but absolutely amazing since i can honestly say i told kevin i would kick his ass and he told me to "shut the fuck". all and all a wonderful time was had by all and just wish he would come back and do it again.

Then there is this report from the Notorious B.O.Z.

Hi Harry,

Kevin Smith spoke at Indiana University tonight fo almost four hours. I'm not sure this is new information, but he said that production on Jersey Girl has been pushed back to July, and that the projects he'll take on after it are: Clerks: The Animated FILM (got that...a film, not tv show) and "Fletch Won," based on the sixth book in the series.

He also entertained the crowd with many, many stories, including the documentary he shot with Prince in Minnesota about Jesus and Jehova's Wittnesses.

Pretty cool.

The Notorious B.O.Z.
