Hey folks, Harry here... Yesterday we had a forgiving look at BONES, well it looks like this time out... No such luck for Snoop Dogg, here we have some one that calls it a piece of shit! Is it mildly entertaining or unbearably awful? Well, I'm sure we will find out soon enough!!! Personally, I'd see DONNIE DARKO this weekend if you get a chance!!!

I just read the post about the movie BONES. Whoever saw this was either drunk or is very forgiving. This movie is a piece of shit and I hope that you post this because I don't want people to lose any money.
"Bones" is god aweful and was a total waste of Ernest Dickerson's time. I went to see it because he directed it and had hoped that his involvement would help make this movie, which I feared would suck, into a fun, smart thriller. He didn't. It sucks, it's cheap, dumb, boring and dissapointing.
How bad was it? I saw this at a free screening and wanted my money and time back. This is Pearl Harbor bad. I'll give it some credit and say that the opening teaser was kind of creepy but it falls apart from there. Bad dialogue, slow pace, and a lot of flashy visuals that I'm sure were gleefully done so that it would "screw with everyone's head". The flashy visuals weren't scary and added nothing to the story since and didn't explain anything.
There's a dog running around growling at everyone for the first 2/3rds of the movie and it's purpose or who or what it was was never explained.
The young hip hop actors spend most of the movie mugging to the camera and tossing insults back and forth. An attempt at some character development with the "hero" and his father is hindered by horrible dialouge and overacting. I'm surprised that they didn't throw in an interracial love scene to really "make this thang edgy."
Maybe she couldn't say no to the money, but Pam Grier is totally wasted in this. And it sucks that she has to do these kind of movies. Everything she does and says in this is completly predictable.
Oh and Snoop Dogg, yeah I almost forgot he was in it - he's playing a tired, played out characture of himself, and it's boring. It was fun a few years ago but now it's pathetic. Yes, he maybe had two lines that made me chuckle, but I found myself rolling my eyes.
It's not worth your time nor your money. I can't even reccomend it for video. It's not fun, it's not scary and it's not entertaining. I'd rather give my money over to see "13 Ghosts".
