Hey folks, Harry here... Nearly a year ago (Click Here To Read) we heard via Variety that Ridley Scott and Jerry Bruckheimer were set to launch the first major Pirate film since CUTTHROAT ISLAND, based upon the life and treacheries of that scurvy fella... CAPTAIN KIDD! The project was set to be made by Disney and was alleged to be the project that Scott was to start after finishing BLACKHAWK DOWN.... Well he's just about finished that one, so I suppose he might be starting work at some level on CAPTAIN KIDD, but I haven't seen the following info anywhere else, so till we see this confirmed consider it rumored... Personally I feel casting Jude Law means they are headed more into the realm of CAPTAIN BLOOD and less the reality of CAPTAIN KIDD... I just can't see Jude as fierce or bloodthirsty... course, he's a helluva actor, so we'll see... Personally I'd rigid collodion the hell out that face of his!
Patricia here, with a bit of captain kidd news WENN reported yesterday (via their service on the IMDb) that the following actors have been cast in Disney's "Captain Kidd". As you will see, Jude Law is playing Kidd, which rules out he was even considered for rdragon.
