Hey folks, Harry here... Ok, the following is from a first time spy, but I know the GANGS OF NEW YORK news is true.... so that gives him a bit of credibility for the EPISODE 2 news. They are both spoiler postings though... the ending of GANGS OF NEW YORK that is posted could be changed as a result of 9-11... sigh... Here ya go...

I recently saw some EPISODE II: ATTACK OF THE CLONES footage, and some brief footage of GANGS OF NEW YORK. I cannot write how I have accessed this information, as some jobs might be at risk. Although if you, Harry, need more info please email me any questions and I would be happy to answer them as long as you don't post them up.
GANGS OF NEW YORK: (SPOILER ALERT)
I only saw the last scene of GANGS OF NEW YORK, because that was what is currently being edited. The scene showed Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz standing together looking at the old New York by the edge of the water. Then both Diaz and DiCaprio fade out and the old fashioned buildings are replaced with more modern ones along with more modern boats on the water...the buildings get newer and newer until there is a shot of modern day NY. The only problem is that there was a shot of the Twin Towers, which will most likely be cut out. The guys at ILM (the ones who are editing that scene) seem to think that they may get rid of the shot completely, and replace it with news clippings of New York throughout the years.
EPISODE II: (NOT AS MANY SPOILERS)
Yeah, here's what you guys really wanted: The movie begins with Obi Wan being summoned to a water planet. There he is told by tall thin aliens that they've been expecting him. (Obi Wan is confused, as he has never seen them) They tell him that the clonning program has begun, and begin talking about how they are cloning Jango Fett (or something along those lines). Obi Wan is led through an area of test tubes. He is suspicious that these aliens know him, and believes someone has been pretending to be him, or at least using his name. He plays along in order to find out more information.
That's really all I know and saw of the first scene (probably enough to get rumors flying in talkback though), but I can tell you that the Episode II trailer will be released with Monsters Inc. and Harry Potter.
