Well, here's some news and pics from SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, which I'm dying to see. I'm telling you folks, if the script is delivered, this film will leave you with a dead look on your face, a 2 mile stare. I have not heard of any test screenings on this film, and have only talked to one person that has seen it. If you have seen the film... talk... tell us how it is. People need to know... Thanks and be sure to check out Trent's website...
Here are some tiny tidbits on this movie :
* In order to drive home the 'cost-of-war message' Spielberg had rubber
dead cows and rubber dead farmyard animals made, along with the various
gruesome make-up jobs that were done on some of the extras.
* The D-Day landings on Omaha beach are recreated within SPR and will last on screen for approx. 25 minutes (according to a recent LA Times article).
* Ted Danson has a small role in the film, playing a platoon officer in charge of a town which Hanks and company move through.
I've received many emails at my site (see URL below) from people who have worked on the set of SPR. They claim that SPR will be one of the most technically accurate war films ever, and many agree that even without any added CGI (which were done later) the SFX are incredible.
If you use any of the information or images please include a link to my site.
I'll keep you posted if anything else major crosses my site.
