Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.
One of the titles a number of people mentioned in e-mail to me yesterday while celebrating BUCKAROO BANZAI's upcoming release as something they were wishing for was the Weird Al film UHF. This thing's got a lot of devoted fans.
Well... guess what?
When I read the thing about Buckaroo Banzai today, I found myself wondering the status of some other movies i've desperately wanted to have on DVD...so I went looking. Guess what I found.

"UHF ON DVD!!!
You've been waiting and waiting and waiting for it. And now... you'll have to wait a little longer. But we're happy to announce that Al and MGM (the company that owns the rights to Al's 1989 feature film "UHF") have finally entered into serious discussions about a DVD release of the movie. All we can announce at this time is that "UHF" - the DVD - is planned for a Summer 2002 release, and we are hoping to make it a Collector's Edition (packed with cool features and surprises). We'll let you know more... when we know more."
Just thought I'd let you know, I know I personally just about wet myself when I found out.
