Save CINERAMA!!!!

There are somethings that just belong safe, and the CINERAMA THEATER in Dayton, Ohio needs to be one of those. It's not just a movie theater, but the last vestige of a time forgotten. A theater unlike any other on the surface (or underground) of the Earth. It's CINERAMA!!! You remember what that is? Probably not, many of you are impressed by IMAX, that startling clarity, those stadium seats, yada yaa yaaa yaaaaa... Well the difference between IMAX and CINERAMA is quality of films. CINERAMA has classic stars of yesteryear, great directors and a unique film experience. And there is only one place you can see it. Dayton, Ohio. If you love film, if you live within 400 miles of the theater, pile into a Van, a Jeep, a Yugo, an Edsel, a Tucker, a Sopwith Camel, a RollerBlade, a Thumb on a Highway... I guess ya get the point, but rally up the stage coaches and head em up and move em out... Cause this theater needs you, make a difference, keep it alive...

Last weekend I had the great pleasure of attending a showing of "How the West Was Won" at the New Neon Theater in Dayton, OH. The New Neon is the last Cinerama theatre in existence in the western hemisphere. For the unitiated, Cinerama was a widescreen process introduced in the '50s which utilized three cameras to give a sense of realism that has never been matched. Just imagine! Seven channel stereo and the widest, clearest picture you've ever seen. I was in geek heaven.

Here's the emergency. Attendance has dropped off to the point where the theatre is losing lots of money, and the showings will have to stop after June. If anyone is in the Dayton are and wants to see a part of movie history before it fades away for good, then please go to a screening. We must SAVE CINERAMA! Anyone who has seen it will never forget it!

PLEASE HARRY! Print this so we can rescue Cinerama from oblivion.

Thanks so much.
