You can call me GooRooV. I'll be writing you from time to time. I was checking out your Gadget info and thought I'd throw in a few additions.
First off.. casting. Jim Carrey was first up but with an asking price of 27 mil. The budget, which is still fluctuating between 60 and 80 mil, wouldn't allow that so he moved on to The Incredible Mr. Limpet (sp?) remake. Next up was Hank Azaria, a perfect choice. He declined and went with Tim Robbins to do a flick. So now we have Matthew Broderick at 5 million. After watching Godzilla, a superb piece of eyecandy, I have to wonder how he'll pull it off. Still in the works for casting are the following characters: Penny - unknown child star Brenda Bradford (Love interest) - Looking at Cameron Diaz, Daryl Hannah, and Leslie Mann Brain and Claw's Cat - Stan Winston Studios. Chief Quimby, Artemus Bradford (Gadget Developer), Sikes (Henchman), Kramer (Scientist), and the rest are still open.
A teaser is already in post production. It opens with a shot of a body lying in a stretcher being rolled down a hospital hallway. They roll him into the OR and begin to prep for the operation. They begin to work on him and you'd expect them to ask for things like scalpel, forceps, etc. Instead, the doctors request a wrench, a screwdriver, etc. Next thing you know, "Gadget" arises from under the sheet looking extremely perplexed (but in full Gadget garb)
