Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.
First there was this e-mail from Gracie:
Hey
I run a small Michael J.Fox fan page over here on geocities and got a couple of interesting scoops. They eseentially say that Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg are scouting Foreign lands including Portugal and France for locations to film a new "Back to the Future" movie.
The new movie will be more of a spin-off from the previous films with the same characters back - Doc and Marty but in a limited form. They will cameo. The stars being mentioned for the lead are Tobey Maguire and Nicholas Brendon. I'm taking it with a grain of salt - but it sounds like a good idea. Fans won't feel cheated.
And then I get this one from Paulo:
greetings from Rio de Janeiro. I was hapy to send you news from radio FM O Dia 100.5 but must transcribe - best I can.
apologises for english transalation and mine.
Mr Steven Spielberg seriously considering fourth 'back to the future'. new sets and older sets from original movies recently re-tarnished and spruced. Mr Spielberg has talked to Michael (J) Fox about return - who will agree to do cameo.
The new movie will be about a new time-traveller - who they are looking at casting Tobey Maguire post-Spiderman or Nicky Brendan (who's he?). Christopher Lloyd is back as Dr Brown. It was said on the station that the movie will only happen because the fans have demanded it. could be speculation - but a rumor u might like.
More as I hear.

BACK TO THE FUTURE 4 is a lot like INDY 4 or ALIEN VS. PREDATOR... one of those fan pipe dreams that I can't imagine will every actually get sorted out and end up in front of a camera. Still, the rumor seems to be picking up steam, so keep your eyes and ears open, and let's see if anything comes of this round of speculation after over a decade since PART III.
"Moriarty" out.
